Douglas Perry is the author of four books and co-author of another.
He has been a reporter and editor at The Oregonian, in Portland, since 2004. His work also has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Mercury News, and other publications.
Doug has won the Mayborn Prize for narrative nonfiction writing, a Society for Features Journalism Award and a National Headliner Award. He’s a five-time winner of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Pacific Northwest writing award.
His work has been featured twice in the annual anthology The Best American Newspaper Narratives.
He lives in Portland, Oregon.
