Douglas Perry is the author of three books and co-author of another.
He has been a reporter and editor at The Oregonian, in Portland, since 2004. His work also has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Mercury News, and other publications.
Doug has won a Society for Features Journalism Award and a National Headliner Award, and he’s a five-time winner of both the Society of Professional Journalists’ Pacific Northwest writing award and the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association writing award.
His work is featured in The Best American Newspaper Narratives (UNT Press, 2023).
He lives in Portland, Oregon.
